NewsSandel Expands Production Capacity to Meet High Demand for TAWSLas Vegas, NV (October 12, 2004)-With the TAWS deadline of March 29, 2005 rapidly approaching, Sandel Avionics has expanded its production capacity to meet the high demand for its popular ST3400 TAWS. Installed on over 30 turbine aircraft models, the ST3400 has been extremely popular among corporate operators, regional airlines, aftermarket dealerships and OEM service centers alike. Recent STC's have included the Challenger 600/601/604 and projects are in progress for the Gulfstream I, II and III, Beechjet 400, Jetstream 31 and 32, Embraer 120, Airbus A300 and Boeing 727 and others. In addition to the corporate jet market, the ST3400 TAWS has been winning contracts from operators of large air transport aircraft including Centurion Cargo for their fleet of DC-10's and Atlas Air Cargo for their fleet of Boeing 747's. "The versatility of the ST3400 has made it the perfect fit for aircraft ranging from King Airs and Citations all the way up to the 747," said Gerry Block, President and CEO of Sandel. A 3-ATI sized unit that incorporates a TAWS computer and a full-color display, the ST3400 meets TSO C151b for both Class A and Class B requirements. The ST3400 serves as a drop-in replacement for conventional RMI units, displaying terrain maps, topographic maps, navigation waypoint maps and TCAS data. The basic ST3400 has a list price of $34,500 in Class A configuration and $20,950 in Class B configuration. Sandel Avionics will be at Booth 9343 at the NBAA Convention in Las Vegas, NV. |
